The Covid-19 pandemic has forced many businesses, governments and citizens to reappraise their values and encouraged a greater focus on responsible, inclusive growth. As the world emerges from Covid-19 lockdown, businesses and policy makers are examining the tools, strategies, regulations and technologies that could be implemented to drive 21st century opportunities that benefit everyone – regardless of who they are and where they are in the world. This type of inclusive growth could be built on the three pillars of: empowering people, by creating conditions in which everyone, especially women and young people, can live, work and thrive; safeguarding the planet, by fostering collective efforts to protect it; and shaping new frontiers, by adopting long-term and bold strategies to use and share the benefits of innovation.
